Access to Roman level is via a lift , then level access throughout. The museum is fully accessible for people with disabilities and we offer a range of activities for this audience including tactile tours and multi-sensory object investigation sessions for blind and partially sighted people.

Planning your visit - please try to let us know in advance if you are visiting. We can let you know what is a good time, and arrange to have some tactile and multi-sensory objects for you to investigate in the Roman hands-on area.

Guided tours - we offer interpreter-led highlights tours of the Roman Museum for groups of up to 30 people. The cost is £25.00 in addition to the usual entry price to the museum. This includes a Roman objects investigation session in the hands-on area.

Tactile tours and multi-sensory object investigation sessions - A tactile tour of the Roman Museum is being developed for groups of Blind and Partially sighted people. This includes a multi-sensory Roman object investigation session in the hands-on area including the smells and sounds of Roman Canterbury! The cost is £25 in addition to the usual entry price to the museum.
