Roman Technology session


This popular hands-on session gives participants an exciting opportunity to investigate different types of Roman technology, and experience first hand the jobs of Roman workers and slaves. During the session children learn how to grind grain using a rotary quern, hammer a Roman coin (to take home as a souvenir) and build and fire mini catapults.

Curriculum links: Key Stage 1 and 2 history, design & technology.
Cost: £3 per child in addition to museum entry price.
Time: 40 minute interpreter led session.
