Activities for adults

 

Canterbury Roman Museum provides a variety of learning activities for adults, from guided tours and object investigation sessions to Roman archaeology events, talks and popular lectures.

Guided tours

Enjoy an interpreter-led highlights tours of Canterbury Roman Museum, including a Roman objects investigation session in the hands-on area. For groups of up to 30 people. Cost: £25, in addition to the usual entry price to the museum.

Evening tours

Evening guided tours of Canterbury Roman Museum can also be arranged in advance for visiting groups. Cost: £100 (for groups of up to 30 people).

Talks to clubs and societies

Book an illustrated Roman Canterbury talk for your club or society featuring finds and stories from Canterbury Roman Museum and its collections. With an opportunity to see and handle real Roman objects from the museum handling collection. Cost: £60 plus VAT (plus petrol).

Creativity sessions – introduction to mosaic making

Take part in a fun 2 hour mosaic making workshop for groups inspired by the mosaics and finds on display. Take away a finished mosaic panel to use or display at home. Maximum 15 people. Cost: £150 per session.
