Primary School Visits

Canterbury Heritage Museum offers a comprehensive range of self-guided (teacher-led) and interpreter-led visits, resources and outreach activities for Key Stage 1 and 2 classes studying all periods of history.

Teachers can use a museum visit as inspiration for subjects across the curriculum, and there are interpreter-led literacy, maths, art, science, and design and technology activities inspired by the collections.

There is a lunch room and garden for schools to eat packed lunches, and you can come in costume and bring a Medieval or Tudor feast, or WW2 rations to eat in the Great Hall.

We run an exciting special events programme for schools.
