Early Years

Canterbury Heritage Museum is a safe and stimulating venue for a nursery or pre-school group visit.

There are lots of exciting things for little people to investigate and explore, from giant fossils, and a Morrison air raid shelter (complete with WW2 toys), to the mighty Invicta steam engine. There is costume to try on, and a wealth of fun hands-on activities, from creating an Anglo-Saxon brooch, and discovering gold under the microscope, to smelling medieval poo!

For a truly magical experience we strongly suggest you combine a visit with one of the creative, hands-on interpreter led sessions below
