Wildwood Wild Animal Park is a year-round experience for all the family in 40 acres of ancient woodland with over 50 species of British wildlife. Enjoy special events, talks and feeds around the park, adventure playzone and restaurant.


After a brief lunch, carry on out to the coast and the newly refurbished visitor centre at Reculver. Head back to Herne Bay and visit the Herne Bay Museum and Art Gallery with its history of the town and the famous bouncing bomb. Have a refreshing tea break at the Central Bandstand.

Wildwood near Canterbury is a great day out for all ages where you can see amazing British wildlife past and present. Set in 40 acres of ancient woodland, Wildwood holds a stunning collection of over 200 British animals in natural enclosures.

See wolves, otters, foxes, deer, badgers, owls, wild horses, lynx, beavers, wild cats, bison, squirrels, wild boar, reindeer and many more as you walk around the twisting trails through our ancient British woodland. Finish your day by letting your kids go wild in our amazing adventure play park featuring Kent’s tallest vertical drop slide, zip wire, wild fort, twisting tube slide and tree-top towers, there is also a special area for under-5’s.

Join our experts at weekends and school holidays for free close-up animal talks and feeds when you can learn all about the animals, visit the Beaver Lodge Cafe or enjoy a picnic in our spacious picnic area.
Run by the Wildwood Trust, a conservation charity dedicated to protecting British wildlife, Wildwood is not just a wildlife park but is also a unique conservation project to save our precious British wildlife. Many of the animals that you will see at Wildwood are now extinct in the UK or are under threat, so when you visit you are playing your part in helping some of the UK’s most endangered animals.

Wildwood is open 7 days a week from 10am, situated on the A291 between Herne Bay and Canterbury. Free parking.
