    Details

The Henry Girls are fast becoming one of the most talked about folk/roots acts to come out of Ireland in the last decade, and within a few years have developed a growing international profile from touring in Europe, North America and further afield.

Hailing from County Donegal, these three sisters blend classic Traditional Irish trad with a hint of Americana and a nod to bluegrass. Renowned for their fine close-harmony vocals, they have been likened to The McGarrigles, and have five albums to their credit.

Multi-instrumentalists (harp, fiddle, accordion, guitar, piano and ukulele all make an appearance) they were last year invited as Special Guests to join the Altan & Friends show staged at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall during the big Celtic Connections festival.

Their 2013 album, December Moon, won them a huge amount of radio attention and praise from the critics too. Country Music people said they had “the potential to be as big as Alison Krauss,” while BBC Radio 2’s Bob Harris described their music as “beautiful.”

Renowned crowd-pleasers at many big outdoor events, they are back in the UK for summer festival appearances and promoting a brand new album entitled Louder Than Words.
