Special Exhibitions Room. Two children free per paying adult.
Rachel Ella Taylor is bringing her new art installation 'Winter Wonder' to the Special Exhibitions Room at the Beaney House of Art and Knowledge in Canterbury. 'Winter Wonder' will entice visitors and share the magic and spectacle of winter for children and 'big kids' alike.
Rachel is an East Kent mixed media Designer Maker based in the newly founded Resort Studios in Margate. She creates site specific installations that respond to the nature of space, and the interaction between people and their surroundings. The installations combine ethereal imagery, lighting and reflective materials that alter when exposed to light and interplay with the varying light of day. There is constant change, allowing new details and discoveries each time the art is viewed. This layered approach creates visually delicate works that have complex spatial relationships.
Exploring notions of capturing fleeting moments in time, and communicating experiences observed within her exploration of the natural world, are common threads in Rachel’s work. She uses innovative processes and material alongside traditional craftsmanship.
