Local artist, Maggie Harris will be at Reculver all day as she demonstrates how yarn is spun using a spinning wheel and a drop spindle.

Drop in at any time during the day to meet the artist, see knitted examples and learn all about this beautiful craft. Knitters, crocheters and spinners are welcome to bring their projects and spend the day crafting at Reculver!

Reculver is situated on the north Kent coast 3 miles east of Herne Bay. It is possible to walk or cycle along the coast from either Herne Bay or Birchington. There is a car park at Reculver which is signposted on the Thanet Way. The car park is not suitable for coaches, which must book for the coach park to be opened during the week only. There are also car parks at Bishopstone Lane and Reculver Drive.

Bus Access: Stagecoach East Kent service 7 & 7a visit Reculver throughout the year.

Accessible by Public Transport: 4 miles from Herne Bay station
