We are thrilled to invite Kieran Goss back to Folk in the Barn. Kieran and his wife Annie who sometimes sings with him, are two of the loveliest people we have ever met, and fantastic performers, musicians and entertainers too.

Long hailed as one of Ireland's leading songwriters and performers, Kieran Goss’s music has won him fans across the globe. In February 2010, Kieran’s new studio album, I’ll Be Seeing You, along with his considerable back catalogue, was released for the first time in the U.K. to huge critical acclaim. But while his albums have made him a star, his live shows have made him a legend. Live on stage is where Kieran Goss really shines. In the words of Rodney Crowell, a long time friend and collaborator: “I’ve toured with Kieran and watched him perform many times. I’ve seen him win the hearts of everyone in the room, not just with his great songs and instinctive musicality, but with his warmth and humour. It’s the performance of an artist at the top of his game, delivered with intelligence and integrity... Kieran Goss is one of Ireland’s national treasures.”

“So happy that you have secured Kieran Goss for Kingston Barn. We saw him for the first time at the Canterbury Festival after becoming acquainted with his music only two or three months ago. Not only is he an accomplished singer/songwriter but also a very funny man; keeping the audience amused with his stories about his fifteen siblings and life on the West coast of Ireland. For us, his performance of a song, Our Love Endures, written in conjunction with Lindy Robbins was a love song par excellence, while Reasons to Leave written with Rodney Crowell was a close second. Other songs written with Kimmie Rhodes and Beth Nielsen Chapman also resulted in enthusiastic ovations. As if a wonderful virtuoso performance was not enough, he was then joined by his lovely wife Annie Kinsella to sing three beautiful melodies which included Don't Ask me to be Friends which described the heartache felt by the end of a relationship.
It truly was a wonderful evening.” Alan and Maria Thomas
