Join us at Howletts for a week dedicated to our gorillas, gibbons and other primates! Dont' miss the chance to see special enrichment with the animals, craft making, woodland walks and more.

Throughout the week there will be various opportunities for visitors to see educational talks about a variety of different primates from lemurs to gorillas. At selected talks, such as the lemurs, there will be an opportunity to get up close as our keepers feed the primates and show off the individuals in the group.

To keep our primates mentally fit, they also need enrichment. Come along to the education centre to see some of the enrichment that we can use and then at various points in the day, see some of this enrichment being used and destroyed by our primates.

Enjoy a tour of the tranquil Woodland Walk area and meet the monkeys who inhabit it, then once you're all done learning about the primates, head to the Education Centre to make a mask of your favourite gibbon or langur.
