Details

Looking for wildlife on the eroding coastline of North Kent. Led by Geoff Orton. Meet at Reculver Visitor Centre and Country Park.

Pay and display car park is at the end of Reculver Lane.
Mostly level, some tracks can be muddy after rain. Stout footwear. Organised by Maidstone, Medway and Swale Group.

Reculver is situated on the north Kent coast 3 miles east of Herne Bay. It is possible to walk or cycle along the coast from either Herne Bay or Birchington. There is a car park at Reculver which is signposted on the Thanet Way. The car park is not suitable for coaches, which must book for the coach park to be opened during the week only. There are also car parks at Bishopstone Lane and Reculver Drive.

Bus Access: Stagecoach East Kent service 7 & 7a visit Reculver throughout the year.

Accessible by Public Transport: 4 miles from Herne Bay station
