    Details

Inspired by the imposing Brett Aggregates factory in Whitstable, artist Laura Wilson investigates, via film, this industrial feature's purpose and position within the town's development since the 1930s.

The project explores the invention of asphalt alongside the industrial revolution and the expansion of roads through history. The film at the museum is linked to a sculpture and artist-led tour of the factory during the Biennale.
