City Sound Project Festival 2016

City Sound Project 2016 will take place on Saturday 30th and Sunday 1st May - a bank holiday weekend, in glorious sunshine. Established in 2012, City Sound Project brings music of all genres, from electronic DJ's to live bands, poetry, art and more in the historic city of Canterbury for a weekend of cultural indulgence unique to the south of England.

Whitstable Biennale 2016 will feature a wide range of new work by contemporary artists, a pop-up artist-designed cafe, a special cinema showing films every day, and exhibitions, live performances, workshops, tours, events and talks.
Giant Picnic Queen Birthday Celebration

To celebrate Queen Elizabeth II 90th Birthday, we will be hosting a Giant picnic for everyone in Herne Bay Memorial Park on Saturday 11 June 2016. Please bring along your chairs, blankets, chicken drumsticks and sandwiches and enjoy the entertainment on stage, various activities by local businesses and community groups and say hi to the characters wandering around the park.

The Herne Bay Airshow will feature the Red Arrow, Lancaster Bomber, Spitfire and Hurricane, Electra and many more fantastic planes. The event will be supported by ground displays along the seafront. Entry to the event is free. Please use public transport, leave your car at home.
