Bring your class or group to Wildwood for a unique learning experience! Group visits start from just £2 per person, with free places for teachers, helpers and carers when you book educational activities.
At Wildwood your group can get out into the woods to experience the natural world at first hand. Set in ancient woodland just outside Canterbury, we hold a unique collection of British wildlife that will inspire and enthuse.
See some of our most threatened wildlife such as pine martens, red squirrels and wildcats and learn all about the efforts being made to conserve them. Learn about our most familiar species including badgers, otters, owls, deer and foxes and see amazing animals that are now extinct in Britain such as bears, wolves and lynx. Experience our native wildlife in a truly natural setting and learn about our conservation work to help restore natural habitats and support endangered native species.
Wilwood is one of only a handful of external education venues in Kent to hold the prestigious LOTC (Learning Outside the Classroom) quality mark. This accreditation assures anyone organising an educational visit that Wildwood offers first-rate educational experiences and manages risk effectively, as every aspect of our education service and venue safety has been thoroughly inspected and verified.
You can visit as an independent group or book extra activities with our education team. We can provide guided tours, workshops and craft events, all of which can be curriculum-linked or tailored to meet your needs. Our trees, plants and animals are here for you to study and our experienced tutors will help you get the most from your day.
Don't forget we also have a large adventure playground with Kent's tallest drop slide!
Group organisers are welcome to a free visit in advance either independently or to meet the education team and discuss plans for their day.
