The Blean Ancient Woodlands

Situated between Canterbury, Herne Bay, Whitstable and Faversham, the Blean covers an area of 11 square miles and is one of the most distinctive areas of ancient woodland in England, more than half of which is nationally recognised as being important for wildlife. The character of the Blean changes dramatically throughout the seasons making it a wonderful place to visit at any time of year and with a network of pathways stretching 120 miles (and plenty of promoted routes), it's a fantastic area for walking alongside plenty of other outdoor activities including cycling, wildlife watching and horse riding.
