Stephen Sondheim's classic musical black comedy.
Music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim
Book by Hugh Wheeler
Blamed for a crime he did not commit and forced to endure years of hard labour, Benjamin Barker returns to London a broken and bitter man.
Greeted with news of his wife's death and his daughter's imprisonment at the hands of the corrupt Judge responsible for his exile, the former barber, now known as Sweeney Todd, swears revenge on those who have wronged him.
So starts a murderous chain of events which sees Sweeney team up with lonely pie shop proprietress Mrs Lovett and which will have far-reaching and devastating consequences.
