Your personlised genome in 25 portraits.
By Artist Keith Robinson and Geneticist Professor Darren Griffin
YouNome will be exhibiting in shop windows accross Canterbury City Centre. It is a unique science-art collaboration designed to engage, educate and inspire the public about genomics and its role in society because who, even among professionals, knows what genomics means and what the information actually looks like?
Referencing art history and popular culture, Keith, with genomic input from University of Kent scientists Darren Griffin and Gary Robinson, has produced 25 selfportraits (photography Robert Gravenor) that represent the 'character' of an individual chromosome.
