New Old World – Single Launch Show
+ Support (TBC)
8pm start, 7.30pm doors

New Old World release their new single 'Suppression Starts At School' at The Gulbenkian on Friday 9 December.

New Old World are an upcoming, English Indie-Rock / Folk-Rock band from Kent, making rapid progress and a real name for themselves in the local music scene as a band with a bright future ahead. The band consists of six multi-instrumentalists including horns. So far as well as beginning to establish a fan base in their local areas, New Old World have headlined and supported at numerous venues including a performance on Glastonbury Stage at a concert in Rochester Castle Gardens to a couple of thousand people in 2014 and 2015. The band have toured across South England with a wide range of support acts including Sasha McVeigh, Gentlemen of Few & Dan Clews and have been played several times on BBC Radio (including a live performance and interview for James Whale). The band performed a set at the famed Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone in late 2015 and also played at Rochester Corn Exchange and the Chatham Central Theatre. Not only that, but they played a Summer Festival circuit this year including main stage at Faversham Hop Festival, Canterbury City Sound Project 2016 and launched their debut studio EP: 'Unattended Adolescence' in March at The Penny Theatre., which they intend to tour next year, backed by their manager Andrew Kesby.

'A young enthusiastic band with an original approach to the music they perform, recommended' – Doug Welch (BBC RADIO KENT)
