Based on J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter spin-off novel series (and adapted by Rowling herself), director David Yates’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is full of wizardry; an intricately realised world that will please all Potter fans. In 1926, Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) arrives at the US Magical Congress for a meeting. A magically expanded briefcase full of dangerous creatures is brought to this meeting and when the creatures accidentally escape, the American wizarding authorities come after Newt, who must correct the mistake and prevent the horrors of an increase in violence and tensions felt between magical and non-magical peoples.
