    Walk to celebrate opening of Canterbury to Whitstable Railway.

    A 2 mile plus guided walk starting at the northern portal of the Tyler Hill Tunnel to Blean level crossing. Then via footpaths over farm land to Blean Church and the Crab & Winkle Way. Going onwards into Clowes Wood ending back on the former railway line at the Winding pond. in Clowes Wood. l mile from the nearest bus stop or l mile from the nearest car park at Gypsy Corner on the Canterbury to Chestfield road. Participants can continue walking on to Whitstable (about l hour), return via same route, or walk to Honey Hill (20 minutes walk) to return to Canterbury by bus (Triangle 6/6A). Winding Pond is a picnic area. Royal Oak pub in Blean 30 minutes walk away.

    Directions: The start can be accessed using Triangle bus 4/4A or the University bus from Canterbury. The start of the guided walk is 5 minutes from Keynes College bus stop. Car park adjacent to Woolf College, University of Kent

    Access: Sturdy walking boots advisable, muddy and rough terrain, styles and steps. Unsuitable for mobility impaired visitors.
