Children’s Improvisation Orchestra (UK) present Zip Zap Ka bOing!

‘Zip-Zap-Ka-Boing’ is a great chance for anyone with an instrument or a voice to discover the wonderful world of large group improvising. Through the use of a simple set of hand signals, we make music together regardless of our musical backgrounds, ability to read music or level of musical experience.

The event begins with a fun-packed 2-hour rehearsal that introduces everything that you need to know about how to respond creatively to the hand signals. Then for those interested, you can try your hand at conducting the orchestra yourself.

This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to join in and share the joy of music making with their son and/or daughter. ‘Zip-Zap-Ka-Boing’ culminates with a short sharing for family and friends at 12 noon. Everyone is welcome.

‘Zip-Zap-Ka-Boing’ is led by improviser and conductor David Leahy, who is supported by improvising musicians and members of the London Improvisers Orchestra.
