Redevelopment of the Beaney
As well as the extensive restoration of the existing Beaney, an extension has also been built, doubling the size of the existing facility. The extension has created a brand new library, museum and gallery spaces, as well as community areas and a learning lab. It has also enabled the Beaney’s facilities to become more accessible, with a public lift to all levels and an accessible entrance at Best Lane.
The restoration and redevelopment of the Beaney was delivered by Canterbury City Council and Kent County Council working in partnership with the following companies:
