Eastwell Manor Hotel is a four AA red star Country House Hotel set in the heart of the Kent countryside. Formally home to the Earls of Winchelsea and Nottingham, Eastwell Manor was the residence of Queen Victoria's second son, Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh in the latter part of the 19th century and regular visitors included Queen Victoria and Prince Albert (the future King Edward VII). Prince Alfred married the Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna of Russia and two of their daughters (Princess Marie who became Queen Marie of Romania and Princess Beatrice who married into the Spanish royal family) were born at Eastwell.
Eastwell Manor is a magnificent, Hotel and Spa with individually designed, en-suite bedrooms and suites offering space, elegance, sumptuous comfort and glorious views. The one, two or three en-suite bedroom cottages in the sympathetically converted, original Victorian stables, are perfect for groups of family or friends, each with a shared living room with kitchen and dining facilities. The beauty salon, Dreams, is recognised by Guinot, Clarins and Aromatherapy Associates. It offers a range of individual treatments as well as residential, day and evening packages.
Situated in the same building as the spa and beauty salon The Pavilion Restaurant is a relaxed, informal dining experience with a varied menu for breakfast and throughout the day with regular live music including jazz on Sundays. Open 7 days a week from 7am to 9.30pm (last orders) the dishes are made in-house using the freshest and best local produce.
The stunning, wood panelled Manor Restaurant has been voted the 5th Most Romantic Restaurant in Britain by The Times and accorded two rosettes by the AA. With its massive open fireplace and superb views overlooking the gardens the wonderful ambiance is enhanced by a pianist playing the grand piano at lunch and dinner every day. The menu changes according to the seasons and market availability with innovative and varied dishes using Channel-caught fish; game from Eastwell Estate and Godmersham; locally reared lamb, beef and rare-breed pork together with Kent grown vegetables. All are complemented by the scrumptious desserts and petits fours that are also made in the Manor's kitchen.
Afternoon Tea is served in the Great Hall and Lounges every day. Each delicious cake, patisserie and scone is produced by Eastwell Manor's pastry chefs, the scones being served with jams and curds which are also made in-house. Choose from a wide selection of specialty teas.
The Manor Bar offers an excellent range of cocktails and spirits including an impressive selection of over 80 whiskies. The wine list in both restaurants is extensive and varied with wines from classic wine regions and the New World.
Eastwell Manor is perfect for leisure breaks, conferences, meetings, private parties and company away days, it is also licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies in three beautiful, oak-panelled rooms in the Manor House and in the walled 'Maids Garden'.
